Independent Truck Company or Indy for short, have been making the highest quality skateboard trucks since 1978. The company was co-founded by Richard Novak, Jay Shiurman, Fausto Vitello and Eric Swenson in response to the lack of quality in skateboard trucks at the time. To this day Independent trucks remain the truck of choice for a large proportion of professionals and everyday skateboarders the world over. Independent have a huge team featuring all types of skateboarders including Andrew Reynolds, Tom Knox, Milton Martinez, Tiago Lemos, Louie Lopez, Chris Joslin, Erick Winkowski,Lizzie Armanto, Tony Hawk and Lance Mountain to name just a few.
